11/14/2008 OPEN ENROLLMENT FOR INSURANCE AND 401k
Watch for information on open enrollment for insurance and 401k plan meetings to be scheduled. Remind your PRN Team Members that they are elligible to participate in the 401k program. Anyone who has opted out in the past may change and particpate by completing the proper forms during open enrollment.
10/22/2008 3rd QUARTER 2008 PERFORMANCE
We have two new additions to the ranks of the Quarterly Performance Group. The Heights of Atascosa and the Frank M Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home have joined the outstanding performers for 2008. The Heights started off with a bang back in the spring of 2008 and have not stopped since while Frank M Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home has been focused on achieveing this goalfor the past few quarters. Country Care Manor, Ussery Roan Texas State Veterans Home, & William R Courtney Texas State Veterans Home continue a strong history of performance . Congratulations to all for their devotion to patient care and program performance!

We are pleased to announce three new free CE Courses that are available on the University of Brookhaven site titled: Personal Administration (1245), Spirituality in Healthcare (1245), and Training the Brain: New Technology Based Treatments for Cognitive Rehabilitation (1251).

5/20/2008 PLEASANTON CLINIC OPENS WITH A BANG!
The newest Touchstone Community location recieved their Medicare survey last week and promptly admitted eight Medicare residents the following day. Hats off to the new rehab team members for jumping right in and evaluating and treating those Residnts. The team that has assembeled in this Community is wonderful, they are going to take the delivery of rehab care to the next level in Pleasanton.
4/30/2008 1st QUARTER 2008 PERFORMANCE
We have a new addtion to the elite performance club this year, right out of the gates!! We welcome the Ussery-Roan Texas State Veterans Home Rehabilitation Team to the list of performers in Q1. The UR TSVH Team was assembled and began treating in mid December and went right to the top for performance in their 1st Quarter of operation. Way to go!! We also continue to congratulate the following RehabilitationTeams for their excellent efforts and success providing the best for their Patients.

04/10/2008 BROOKHAVEN GROWS TO PLEASANTON, TEXAS
Brookhaven prepares to open our newest new clinic at the "Heights of Atascosa" in Pleasanton Texas in mid May. Brookhaven has partnered with Touchstone Communities www.touchstone-communities.com to deliver Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy services and Management in their Skilled Nursing Facility.
The clinic is beautiful. It is large and open with plenty of natural light, providing an expansive treatment area with traditional treatment equipment and and ADL kitchen.
We have recieved a warm welcome from the community of Pleasanton.
03/19/2008 HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKHAVEN!!!
2008 is the 10 year mark for Brookhaven. November of 1998, the owners of Care Inn Properties (now Touchstone Communities) began servicing Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapies to Prescott Arizona, and then launched Texas in January of 1999. There are still a few die hard Team Members that have been with us from day one!!
Watch for more celebration activities in the near future.

12/07/2007 401(k) PLAN CHANGES FOR 2008
We are excited to announce HUGE changes to our 401(k) Plan effective 1/1/2008. Brookhaven will begin a matching contribution for all participants of the plan. The Brookhaven contribution amount is tiered, based upon the participants own contribution, and there is a vesting schedule. Additionally, the service criterion to determine eligibility has been shortened to ninety days. For more specific details, please refer to the Plan guide and watch for upcomming enrollment meetings in your Community.

07/26/2007 BROOKHAVEN LAUNCHES FREE ONLINE CONTINUING EDUCATION TO TEAM MEMBERS
Brookhaven Directors of Rehabilitation trek to San Antonio for a live demo of their new online CE staff benefit. The online CE classes may be accessed at any time from any PC with an internet connection, adding convenience for the team member. CE offerings include Licensure approved courses for renewals, professional growth topics and courses required for employment. Brookhaven continues to search for ways to help team members grow.
